Literature Text

Star

She feels like a star in my chest,
Waiting to burst into brilliant light.
She feels like a silver, living crest,
Exploding, divine and made right.

Her smile would have me hooked for life,
And I dream of evoking it.
Perhaps with a kiss she dodges,
Aimed for her cheek, caught by her lips.

She feels like a star in my chest,
Waiting to burst into brilliant light.
She feels like a silver living crest,
Divine and made completely right.

I know that I’m a Prince of light,
And I know she is a Princess.
I’d treat her Queen-like day or Night,
By the power of my saviour.

I pledged my life and sword to you Father,
And in my darkness you shone in her smile.
That is enough to know that you love me,
That is Chara, a very good choice.
