The Feeling I Forgot
Maybe I saw the night’s sky in your daylight-filled eyes,
Perhaps a princess needs a prince in her life.
But I won’t ride into your flowered courtyard on a white horse,
Though I’d traverse a battlefield bathed in blood.
I was born a great many things, minstrel, writer, warrior…
But I remember now the feeling I forgot…and found again.
You smile when I speak, I smile when you smile.
And between the sparkles and smiles and laughs,
Between the lines and hints and words and minds
The hearts beat in sync a little more every time.
I was born a great many things, minstrel, writer, warrior…
But I remember now the feeling I forgot…and found again.
I’m not blind and you are here, fully in my sight.
And you see that I see; you, and find the time and effort
To ask you questions, to talk to you and fill my time
With the best thing I have ever known; flutters within myself.

Yes another love poem, it's been a while but I guess I remember what that feels like again.
